SENIOR CAPSTONE

HONEYWELL DESIGN GROUP | WORKPLACE DESIGN

2020

The concept behind this design is to create a flexible and visually calming space that reflects the companies design based activities and supports a post COVID-19 workplace. This is achieved through a warm, neutral color palette and an organized, adjustable layout. The space will be organized in a way that supports safe and effective circulation by creating neighborhoods through the use of architectural elements that contribute to the overall project design and aesthetics.

ADDITIONAL WORK

2019-2020

KNOT AND TIE | RETAIL DESIGN

2020

Knot and Tie is an accessories store that specializes in handbags and watches. Using Sketchup and SU Podium, students were tasked with first developing a brand identity for the store of our choice, followed by designing custom displays and the overall layout of a small retail store. The design of the space incorporates Knot and Tie’s brand goals of creating a timeless space that puts a contemporary spin on traditional design. This is achieved through an open floor plan that utilizes geometric display fixtures to provide a sense of structure and traditionalism.

HOSPITALITY DESIGN

2020

In this project, students were required to design a high-end restaurant in a leasehold space that fits the requirements of a pre-COVID-19 world as well as a plan that adheres to new social distancing guidelines. The goal of this space is to offer inclusivity to guests as well as foster socialization and gathering experiences. This is achieved through a variety of dining layouts and sizes throughout the space as well as light and sophisticated material choices.

MEND | RESOURCE CENTER

2019

The goal of this design is to create a safe and dependable ‘home away from home’ for those in need of basic facilities and services. This will be achieved through the use of warm neutral colors that draw people in, and by creating a comfortable space that honors the diverse backgrounds and needs of each individual. By using a safe-feeling, open floor plan, the design will support the mission of assisting a group of people who are in need of a sense of security and basic needs services
